A motorist has had to leave their car in a Staffordshire ford after trying to cross it while water levels remain high.
The vehicle is now waiting to be recovered in Trescott Ford, South Staffordshire, this afternoon (Sunday February 23).
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “Due to recent weather, Trescott Ford is still impassable as we await recovery for another vehicle which has attempted to pass through (and failed!).
“Find an alternative route whilst water levels remain high.”
Water levels remain high for rivers across much of the county – with more rain and snow expected in areas.
Environment Agency Flood alerts are in force for several rivers across the county.
