This was the moment a man was caught on CCTV appearing to steal bottles of milk from a Stoke-on-Trent doorstep.
The bottles had been left outside an address in Bankhall Road, Burslem, in the early hours of yesterday morning (September 14).
But the footage seems to capture a man – wearing a baseball cap – sneaking up to the property and swiping the milk at around 3.45am.
After the security light is activated, he immediately slinks back into the shadows before sneaking off.
The householder – who has allowed StokeonTrentLive to share the CCTV as a warning to other residents – was dismayed after discovering the theft.
She said: “When I was at work I had a ring doorbell notification at 3.45am. My milk had been delivered an hour earlier and I saw this low life stealing milk from our doorstep. How sad can people get?” Just be vigilant if your having things delivered!”

Other residents were quick to say a doorstep milk raider had also targeted them.
One said: “This is happening in our street all the time. He looks like the low life that visits the drug den up the street.”
A former milkman added: “When I was a milkman this was my pet hate. I caught about six people steeling milk.”
