Dealer busted after police uncover drugs and cash in morning raid

Drug dealer Simon McGuirk has been jailed after police raided his home.

Officers swooped on the 51-year-old’s property on Stone Road in Stafford where they uncovered class A drugs, mobile phones, and cash.

Now McGuirk, who is also known as Simon Vella, has been jailed for three years after admitting possession with intent to supply heroin.

Stafford Crown Court heard Staffordshire Police executed a warrant at 7.40am on September 26, 2019, where the defendant was arrested.

Officers from Stafford Neighbourhood Policing Team seized crack cocaine, 15 small packages of heroin, a bag of amphetamines and cannabis vegetation and resin.

The drugs seized were valued at just under £500.

Following the sentence, which was passed down yesterday, neighbourhood officers say they will continue to target drug dealers attempting to operate in the community.

Sergeant Tom Fotherby, of Stafford Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “These drugs were for supply and not just personal use.

“We welcome information about drug dealing in our communities and will continue to bring offenders before the courts.”
