Michael O’Neill has told Stoke City fans that their destiny remains in their hands – and he remains confident that players and supporters can unite to get the job done.
“We have 10 games left and it’s important that we do our jobs to the very best of our ability… and not worry about anyone else.
“Survival in this division is still very much in our hands; we know what we need to do and we are fully focussed on achieving our aim.
“We’ve had clear week to work with the players on the training ground and hopefully you will see the benefits of that this afternoon against a Hull side who are also in the midst of a battle to stay in the Championship.
“We know they will be prepared to battle and that we may have to be patient, but I’m confident that with the qualities we have – and with your fantastic backing – we can make home advantage count.”
Victory today will see Stoke leapfrog Hull and jump at least one place in the process, but defeat could see them return to the bottom three.
