Dog suffers ‘serious injuries’ after being savaged at Chatterley Whitfield



A dog suffered ‘serious injuries’ after being attacked by another dog at a former Stoke-on-Trent colliery.

The pooch was walking with its owner at Chatterley Whitfield Heritage Park when a ‘pitbull type’ dog unleashed its savage attack.

The drama unfolded shortly after 3pm on Saturday, June 3.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “We’re appealing for witnesses after a dog was left with serious injuries having been attacked by a ‘pitbull type’ dog on Chatterley Whitfield Heritage Park shortly after 7pm on 3 June.

“We’re now looking to contact the owner of the Pitbull.”
