Stoke-on-Trent Duck is building a stronger directory of independent businesses, makers, venues and services across the six towns.
A good feature should be useful to readers rather than feel like a copied advert. That means explaining what makes the business distinctive, who it helps and why someone should visit, enquire or learn more.
Who can submit?
We welcome submissions from businesses based in Stoke-on-Trent or with a clear local connection. That includes shops, cafés, makers, attractions, trades, venues, creative businesses, professional services and community-focused enterprises.
What to send
- Your business name and location or service area.
- A plain-English description of what you do.
- The story behind the business and the people involved.
- Your website and official social links.
- Current opening hours or booking information.
- Three to five good-quality photographs that you own and permit us to use.
- Any important price, access or eligibility information.
What makes a strong story?
Specific details are better than broad claims. Tell us about a product made in Stoke-on-Trent, a family history, an unusual service, a new opening, a milestone, an apprenticeship or a way the business supports the local community.
Accuracy and disclosure
Information should be current and verifiable. If a feature is paid, sponsored or supplied in exchange for goods or services, it will need to be labelled clearly. Editorial consideration does not guarantee publication.
