‘High voltage’ incident leaves over 1,000 Stoke-on-Trent homes without power



A ‘high voltage’ incident in Stoke-on-Trent has left over 1,000 homes without power.

Western Power Distribution first reported the incident in the ST1 area – including Hanley – shortly after 6.50pm today (March 18).

Power is expected to be back by 8.30pm.

A Western Power Distribution spokesman said: “This is a high voltage incident.

“These incidents tend to be larger, affecting the wider area and could mean your neighbours are off supply too.”

At the peak 1,020 homes were without power.
