Drivers are being warned of severe delays on the M6 after four lorries were involved in a crash.
Emergency services were sent to the scene on the northbound carriageway between junction 14 and Stafford Services.
Hydraulic fluid is believed to have spilled onto the road surface as a result of the collision, with two lanes closed to traffic.
The motorway is currently closed.
A spokesman for traffic monitoring company Inrix said: “Two lanes closed, severe delays and queuing traffic for seven miles due to recovery work from an accident involving four lorries and the spillage of hydraulic fluid on M6 Northbound between J14 A34 (Stafford North) and Stafford Services.
“Congestion to J13 (Stafford South). The A449 Rising Brook and Rowley Bank into Stafford is also congested as traffic seeks an alternative. Travel time is 90 minutes.
“Lanes one and two (of three) are closed. There is now a separate break down in the wake of the queues here at J14. Stafford Services is located between J14 and J15.”
