Two lanes are closed and motorists are sat in five miles of congestion following a crash on the M6.
Traffic monitoring experts INRIX report a crash between a car and a lorry was reported just after 12.10pm this afternoon (April 21).
The incident is on the southbound carriageway between junction 14 (Stafford north) and junction 13 (Stafford south).
An INRIX spokesman said: “Queuing traffic for five miles due to earlier accident, a lorry and a car involved on M6 Southbound after J14 A34 (Stafford North). Congestion to Stafford Services.
“The A34 through Stafford is also congested as traffic seeks an alternative. Travel time is 20 minutes. In the roadworks area.
“Lanes one and two (of three) were closed. All restrictions were lifted at around 1pm. Stafford Services is located between J15 and J14.”
