Police are urging witnesses to come forward after a man was attacked on a pedestrian crossing near a Stoke-on-Trent supermarket.
The assault took place on London Road, Stoke – near Sainsbury’s – on the evening of Sunday February 16.
This morning police have urged anyone with information to get in touch.
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “We’re appealing for help after a man was assaulted on a pedestrian crossing on London Road in Stoke.
“The assault took place close on the pedestrian crossing close to Sainsbury’s at 10.30pm on February 16.
“We believe there were a number of witnesses to this incident, including a couple who stopped to help, and we would like them to come forward and assist us.”
