A motorist has driven from London to Stoke-on-Trent to visit his friends today – and got his car seized for his trouble.
The driver was stopped in Hanley after driving up from the capital despite restrictions on unnecessary journeys – and the fact he didn’t have a licence or insurance.
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “The driver of this vehicle thought it was acceptable to drive to Hanley today from London to visit his friends, yet he didn’t have a licence or insurance.
“The vehicle has now been seized.”
