Man suffers ‘head injury’ after attack outside B&M


A man was taken to hospital with a head injury after being assaulted in a town centre in broad daylight.

Police and paramedics were called out to Stone yesterday afternoon following the attack outside B&M.

Now witnesses are being urged to come forward following the incident, which took place at around 4pm.

Staffordshire Police say they had received reports of a man being assaulted on High Street.

A spokesman said: “Officers are appealing for information following reports of an assault on a man at around 4pm on October 12 outside B&M on High Street, Stone.

“The man received a head injury following the assault. He was taken to hospital for treatment.”

West Midlands Ambulance Service sent an ambulance to the scene.

A spokeswoman said: “We were called to reports of an assault on High Street, Stone.

“One ambulance attended and found a man with injuries. He was given treatment on scene before being conveyed to hospital as a precaution.”
