Paramedics and firefighters called to blaze at Stoke-on-Trent house



Firefighters and paramedics were called out to reports of a blaze at a house in the city.

Residents on Furnace Road in Normacot saw two fire engines and an ambulance on the residential stretch on Friday evening.

Now West Midlands Ambulance Service has confirmed an ambulance and a paramedic officer were dispatched to the scene following a call from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service.

An ambulance service spokeswoman said: “We were called by the fire service at 5:21pm on Friday to reports of a fire at a property in Furnace Road. We sent one ambulance and a paramedic officer to the scene. However, upon arrival no one required assessment and we were stood down from the scene.”
