Police car rammed as cops target caravan thieves in North Staffordshire

Police officers had their vehicle rammed after they were called to ‘suspicious’ activity at a caravan storage facility.

The force had responded to a report to individuals at the site in Cold Meece near Yarnfield on Sunday night where concerns had been raised they were looking to steal some caravans.

Staffordshire Police had sent armed cops and the dog unit to the scene where officers were said to have ‘disrupted’ the offenders and recovered two stolen caravans and a BMW.

However during the incident a police vehicle was rammed.

Today the force told Stoke-on-Trent Live: “Enquires are ongoing to identify those involved.”
