Police officers have discovered a huge £1.5 million cannabis farm at a North Staffordshire property.

Officers were called to the property in Newcastle earlier today (May 10) after the plants were discovered in a property.

They did not reveal exactly where they were found.

But three men have tonight been arrested.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “Local officers have identified a large scale cannabis cultivation in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

“This consisted of over 1,500 plants worth approximately £1.5million a year. Three males were arrested and have been remanded in prison.”
