Police have seized two mopeds as they clampdown on illegal motorbike riding during the coronavirus lockdown.
Travel is currently restricted to essential journeys only, but some members of the public continue to flout the restrictions.
And over the weekend officers in Newcastle-under-Lyme received a number of reports of anti-social and illegal motorbike riding in the town.
Yesterday, officers seized the two vehicles and dealt with four offenders concerning numerous offences.
A Staffordshire Police spokesman, in the Newcastle Local Policing Team, said: “Following reports over the weekend of anti social and illegal motorbike riding, yesterday officers from Newcastle and the Staffordshire Police Off-Road Policing Team seized two motorbikes/mopeds.
“Four offenders dealt with for numerous offences. Report others on digital 101 or social media.”
