Police stop two motorists at M6 service station – buying duvet covers during the coronavirus lockdown

Motorway police have stopped two motorists at an M6 service station – buying duvet covers from each other during the coronavirus lockdown.

Central Motorway Police said they were ‘advising’ the motorists at the Hilton Park Services, on Junction 10 of the M6.

They tweeted: “Currently at Hilton Services advising two motorists who are buying a duvet cover from each other in the car park. This is not essential and risks the spread of #Codiv2019.

“Please Stay at home, Protect the NHS and save lives.”

Another 708 more people have died in the UK after contracting coronavirus – bringing the total number of deaths to 4,313.
