Police are urging witnesses to get in touch after a break-in at a Staffordshire Moorlands building site.
The site was targeted on Woodland Street, Biddulph, between last night and this morning.
Five sleepers were stolen, and police say they believe more than one person was involved.
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “Police are appealing for information after five lengths of 9×3 sleepers have been taken from a building site in Woodland Street, Biddulph.
“The items are of considerable weight and would of taken more than one offender on site. The theft took place between the evening of Monday April 20 and the morning of Tuesday April 21.
“If anyone noticed any suspicious vehicles in the area or has any CCTV covering the area they are asked to call Staffordshire Police on 101 and quote 86 of April 21.”
