A Stoke-on-Trent man has been jailed for 10 years and 11 months for rape and a series of child sexual offences.
Sentence at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court
Dylan Jepson, aged 22, was sentenced at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Thursday 17 September. He will also serve an extended three-year period on licence.
Jepson was found guilty of raping a woman in Tunstall in February 2022. He had also admitted multiple offences at earlier hearings involving sexual communication with children, attempting to obtain explicit material, causing or attempting to cause children to watch sexual acts, and offences involving indecent images and extreme pornography.
Further offences uncovered
Staffordshire Police said material found during the examination of Jepson’s phone led to further enquiries. In October 2024, a parent reported sexual messages sent to her daughter.
Police said Jepson later contacted another girl through Snapchat in August 2025, sent explicit material and asked her for explicit photographs. He was arrested and remanded, and further victims were identified during the investigation.
Jepson was placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life and made subject to an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
Sergeant Emily Raybould said the sentence reflected the seriousness and sustained nature of the offending, and thanked the victims for supporting the investigation.
