Staffordshire Police have revealed one of the three men arrested at a Lidl car park is a Stoke-on-Trent teenager.
Officers had been called to Fletcher Bank in Newcastle at around 7.30pm last night following reports of a ‘suspicious’ incident.
On arrival, three suspects fled the scene with officers giving chase on foot before bringing a pursuit to an end on the discount supermarket’s car park.
Following a search a quantity of drugs was found and seized. Two of the men arrested are from Liverpool.
A Staffordshire Police spokeswoman said: “A 24-year-old from Liverpool has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs.
“An 18-year-old man from Stoke-on-Trent has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in supply of drugs and a 30-year-old from Liverpool was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.
“They all remain in custody at this time.”
