‘Stoke parked the bus’ – Luton Town fans have say on late drama and draw

A point might not be enough to save Luton Town this season but where there’s life there’s hope – and James Collins’s last minute penalty has given them that.

Luton supporters have been having their say on today’s clash with Championship relegation rivals Stoke City , who seemed sure to get a win for a long part of the afternoon.

Sam Vokes had opened the scoring in the ninth minute and Luton didn’t do enough to test Jack Butland before sticking one past him with the seconds ticking down.

James Chester was penalised for tripping Callum McManaman and Collins sent the keeper the wrong way.

Luton stay bottom with 10 games remaining but within five points of fourth-bottom Stoke.

Burleigh Ibbott: It would if been worse if we deserved the win and only got a point. Some slight adjusting for Graeme Jones might have made it easier. Good to see McManaman getting confidence.

Stoke really did park the bus. Great point.

Wesley Francis: We were there. A good result considering how poor they were. They really got away with it today but a point is better than nothing.

Tony Keddo: Phew well done to keep on going against that Stoke wall. Massive point to give confidence going forward to the next game.

Andrew Mann: Frustrating game that. Definitely didn’t deserve to lose, but not sure we did enough to win either. Kept going until the end tho. And that point might be key.

David Higley: Good point in the end. Did absolutely nowhere near enough to win the game.

Jon Saunders: Massive point could be the one that keeps us up.

Probably didn’t deserve it but about time we got some luck.

Mattias Ljungström: This could be a crucial point in the end. Onwards and upwards.

Shay Joshi: I’ll happily settle for this point.

Marilyn Waterhouse: We were lucky

Scott Wilkins: Probably not enough but we’ll see.
