Talented photographer Demi Oral captured an unusual image this morning – snow settling across fields and on a stone wall in May.
Demi was out in The Roaches, in Leek, when she took the opportunity to capture the unexpected wintry scene.
While the current conditions are in stark contrast to last year – with a flood alert issued on Monday evening for parts of Stoke-on-Trent – few families expected a sprinkling of snow today.
And it was a clear snow in the Roaches where Demi, who lives in Chesterfield, was out with her camera.
Demi, who has more than 12,000 followers on Instagram, said: “I don’t remember ever seeing snow in May.”
Commenting on the image, she added: “And I don’t remember seeing fresh Spring green leaves like this with a blanket of snow underneath them.”
