Three arrests have been made in the search for missing Kayleigh Weston.
A 36-year-old woman, from Stoke-on-Trent, a 30-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent and a 46-year-old Birmingham man have all been detained on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.
News of the arrests come almost a month after 33-year-old Kayleigh vanished from Longton town centre on Thursday, April 22.
Police are today continuing to appeal for sightings of her.
Kayleigh – who may be sleeping rough – is white, around 5ft 4ins with a thin build and long brown hair which is sometimes worn up in a bun.
She has tattoos on her arms and one on her neck of an elephant with the letter ‘E’ alongside.
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “Detectives investigating the whereabouts of missing Kayleigh Weston have arrested three people in connection with her disappearance.
“The three people arrested remain in police custody at this time.
“Investigators are still concerned for Kayleigh’s safety and well-being, with the 33-year-old last seen in Longton on April 22.
“There have previously been reported sightings of Kayleigh in the Fenton area of Stoke-on-Trent. She may be sleeping rough.”
Kayleigh was last seen wearing the distinctive Superdry coat pictured, grey jeans and trainers.
Anyone who has seen Kayleigh or has information that could assist with the investigation is asked to call 101 or send Staffordshire Police a private message, quoting incident number 286 of April 23.
