Two in hospital after police ‘incident’ in Stoke-on-Trent street



Two people are in hospital after a police incident in a Stoke-on-Trent street.

Police and paramedics were called to the Chamberlain Avenue area of Penkhull this morning.

Eyewitnesses say up to eight police cars were in attendance along with paramedics.

Now West Midlands Ambulance Service has revealed two people – who have not been identified – were taken to hospital from nearby Croft Crescent.

A spokesman said: “We were called to reports of a medical emergency on Croft Crescent at 7.13am this morning. Two ambulances attended the scene.

“We have treated two patients, both of whom have been taken to hospital for further treatment.”
