Virgin Media customers across the UK are reporting issues with their internet and TV services today.
Website DownDetector has had thousands of reports over the past hour or so of issues with TV, cable internet and mobile internet right across the country.
Many users are saying their TV isn’t working – with people complaining they aren’t able to view today’s Six Nations Rugby match between England and Ireland.
Some have said their screen is badly pixelated.
The issues are understood to have started at around 3pm.
It is not known how many users in Staffordshire and Cheshire are currently affected.
In response to one customers complaint a Virgin spokesperson wrote: “Apologies for the inconvenience, we are aware of the issue and we are making sure that we are on top of this.
The company announced at 4.45pm that it hoped to get the service back online by 7.30pm.
In a tweet to one customer Virgin Media said: “We’re really sorry about the outage with our TV service that is affecting our customers at the moment. We have an expected fix time of 19:30. We are working on getting this fixed as quickly as we can.”
