Stoke City fought out what sounds like a valiant rather than spectacular 0-0 draw at Reading yesterday.
Apologies for being so late with the report, but it comes courtesy of the Pools Panel after it sat to adjudicate on yesterday’s fixture programme following the coronavirus crisis.
Stoke’s point at Reading would have put them on 43 points, but they would have dropped two places to 19th.
That’s because the Pool Panel had Wigan down for an away win in their six-pointer at Huddersfield and Middlesbrough for a home win over Swansea.
Elsewhere at the wrong end of the Championship, it was (apparently) a draw between fellow strugglers Hull and Charlton, while bottom two Luton and Barnsley lost further ground after losing at home to Preston and away to QPR respectively.
In the Premier League, meanwhile, the Pools Panel went somewhat controversially for a Manchester United win at Tottenham and a West Ham home win over Wolves.
Karren Brady does not sit on the panel.
Not yet at least.
