Witness appeal after Audi driver leaves Stoke-on-Trent crash scene

Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorist hit another car this afternoon – but failed to stop.

Officers were called out to City Road in Fenton at 2.40pm this afternoon following the incident, where an Audi A3 collided with another vehicle and damaged its wing mirror.

But the Audi – described by police as dark in colour – failed to stop following the crash.

As a result there were some delays in the area which were exacerbated by the temporary lights at the junction of City Road and Glebedale Road.

A spokeswoman for Staffordshire Police said: “We were called at 2.40pm this afternoon (April 19) to reports that a dark-coloured Audi A3 had been in collision with another vehicle damaging its wing mirror on City Road, Fenton. It did not stop.”

Anyone with any information should message Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter quoting incident number 428 of 19 April, call 101 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
