A 20-year-old woman has been airlifted to hospital after being seriously injured in a crash.
Emergency services descended on Victoria Avenue, Crewe, this afternoon (March 1) following a collision.
The road was closed for a number of hours while police and paramedics dealt with the incident with motorists asked to take diversions.
The helicopter was seen landing in Queens Park, close to where the smash took place.
Now North West Air Ambulance have confirmed they were called at 2.24pm on Sunday before flying a woman to hospital.
The full extent of her injuries are not yet known.
Traffic was building up in the area from the A532 West Street to Wistaston Road.
