Woman taken to hospital after being cut free from overturned car

A woman has been taken to hospital after being cut free from her overturned car.

The accident happened shortly after 10am this morning on Longton Road, in Stone.

Crews from Longton and Stone attended.

A spokesman for Staffordshire Fire and Rescue said: “We were called by the police to reports of a two-car RTC at 10.20 this morning.

“One of the vehicles was on its roof and there was a female trapped inside, She was extricated using hydraulic cutting equipment.

“The air ambulance was called but the woman was taken to hospital by land ambulance.”

It is not known what injuries the woman suffered.
