Stoke City fans have reacted to suggestions that Liam Delap – son of Rory – could join the club on loan.
The 18-year-old currently plays for Manchester City but has been linked with a temporary switch to a number of Championship clubs, including the Potters.
Delap Jr. is a forward who stands at 6’1″, but is yet to make any professional appearances to date.
He has, however, scored nine goals in 13 games for England across various age groups.
Some Stoke fans are hoping that the youngster joins his dad at the bet365 Stadium.
@eddiejettyboy : Hope so.
@FunKmy : Yes yes yes
@peterplant57 : Yes please
@JonnyPotter87 : Loan signings are rarely made early in a transfer window. My feeling is that the deal is there if we want it. I’d be surprised if Liam Delap isn’t a Stoke player by the start of the season. If he’s going anywhere in the Championship, it’s to us.
Some fans, however, are less optimistic.
@ali_challinor : It would be ace if he did come but it will never happen
@ben_hannon3 : Can’t see this happening unfortunately
